Ron Goracke, MS, CPA, CFP™, CDFA™ Ron graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting and Real Estate. He has continued his education throughout the years obtaining the designations of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Personal Financial Specialist, and Certified Financial Planner with his Masters Degree in Financial Planning. Ron also holds the role of Lead Auditor on performance audits for the United States Air Force.
Bret Sewell, CPA
Bret graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Bret joined Goracke & Associates in 1997 and has been involved with business consulting, individual and business tax planning, and income tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, not-for-profits, limited liability companies, estates, and trusts. Bret also oversees the accounting and auditing functions of small businesses and performance audits for the United States Air Force.
Brian Goracke
Brian has been an accountant with Goracke & Associates since 2004. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a specialization in Business Finance. He has continued his education, becoming a Registered Investment Advisor with Series 4, 6, 7, 63, and 65 licenses and is currently working on his Masters Degree in Accounting. His emphasis at Goracke & Associates has been in individual and corporate tax planning/preparation, investment planning and implementation, as well as performance audits for the United States Air Force.
Penny Booth
Penny has been with Goracke & Associates since November of 1987. She provides our clients with bookkeeping and payroll services as well as support. She is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor and part of the Peachtree Accountants Network, assisting clients with set up and one-on-one training of their accounting solutions.
Shawna Thiltgen
Shawna has been with Goracke & Associates since 1999 when she graduated from the University of South Dakota with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology. Her emphasis has been in individual and estate tax planning/preparation as well as performance audits for the United States Air Force. Shawna has worked part-time for G&A since starting her family in 2004, and enjoys the flexibility of her schedule with more time to spend with her husband and two daughters.
Sharie Trumble
Sharie Graduated from Buena Vista University with a Major in Accounting and a Minor in Business. She been working in the bookkeeping field for over 5 years before starting at G&A in April of 2005. Duties include performing general ledger account work-paper analysis and reconciliations, joint venture accounting, assisting with year-end interim financial audits, PACA military audits, preparation of Federal and State agency financial reports, special projects and duties assigned, assist in preparation of payroll, quarterly returns, and year end reports. In her free time, Sharie enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and fishing with her husband and two sons.
Michael Berry Michael graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. After college he worked briefly at an international accounting firm before joining Goracke & Associates. Michael’s accounting background is in financial and performance auditing for clients in both the corporate and government arenas in addition to tax compliance and planning. Michael ran his own small business for 12 years, a landscaping company which he sold in the spring of 2011. Running a successful business gave Michael another layer of business experience that our clients benefit from: understanding the needs, demands and risks undertaken by a business owners. The consulting work Michael does for our clients provides a valuable combination of accounting and tax knowledge married with the grounded common sense of a small business owner.
Stephanie Flansburg
Stephanie is currently attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha to obtain her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting. She processes all our payrolls and assists with bookkeeping. She has been with Goracke & Associates since May 2006 and outside of work and school, she she enjoys any downtime with her family.
Roxy had worked in the business administrative field for 7 years before taking on the role of Administrative Assistant in January 2008 with Goracke & Associates. She was promoted to the Paraprofessional Bookkeeping/Payroll staff in August 2010. Roxy is currently working towards a degree in the Accounting field. She enjoys spending her free time in a variety of activities with her 2 beautiful daughter.
Rhonda graduated in 2001 from Wayne State College where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Accounting. She assists with the financial audits, performance and financial audits for the United States Air Force, and the preparation of corporate tax returns. She has over five years of experience with governmental, not-for-profit, corporate, and retirement plans. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs and sitting down to read a good book.
Tammie Kneisel Tammie has recently been hired as the new Administrative Assistant for Goracke & Associates. Previously she had spent a majority of her time managing multiple properties and working with multiple city officials and agencies in an attempt to better communities. She hopes to assist new and returning clients to have a beneficial and enjoyable experience at Goracke & Associates.
Brenda Allen Brenda has been an employee of Goracke & Associates, PC since February 2011. She is a member of the Para-Professional team providing our clients with bookkeeping and payroll services. Brenda brings a wealth of knowledge having worked as a bookkeeper performing a variety of tasks for the past eighteen years of her career. She is looking forward to the new experiences and coming opportunities presented through Goracke & Associates.
